Designed and made right here in Australia, the leather used in these baby shoes is lead free, unlike many overseas leathers. Vegetable dyes are used in the eco-friendly dying process, making them safer for your baby, and for our environment. Even the packaging is fully recyclable.

Soft soled leather shoes are recommended by podiatrists and paediatricians for infants and early walkers. The leather shoes are protective, yet still flexible, allowing the baby to develop toe-gripping and muscular foot strength.
The eco leather tanning process
Conventional tanning techniques include the use of chrome and other heavy metals like lead which transform the perishable raw hides into durable leather, but at the expense of our natural resources. The chrome and other metals pollute and contaminate our air and water and at the same time can harm our little ones health.
The finishing process used for Eco-Leather includes natural vegetable products and waxes to create pliable leather with a very soft hand.
Instead of using minerals or metals in the tanning process, they use materials derived from sustainable, farm bred, Mimosa trees. The natural extract from the trees is used to produce the chemicals necessary for tanning leather without the use of any toxic heavy metals.
The result of this Eco-friendly process results in an environmentally-friendly natural process, producing breathable and highly flexible Leathers. Safe for our babies and our own environment.
Caring for your shoes
It's a good idea to wipe the soft leather baby shoes with a damp cloth to keep them clean. If the baby shoes need a bit more of a clean, hand wash them using leather or sheepskin products, or alternatively a gentle, good quality moisturising hair shampoo.
Don't mix with other clothing when washing, or the natural dyes may run. Reshape them, then leave to air dry.

How to measure your infant's foot
Using a ruler, place your infant's foot along it with the heel starting at "0" cm, then measure to the top of the longest toe.
It is recommended that you do not leave too much room for growth as this may become a tripping hazard for your infant.
The age for each size is an approximation only, as infants' feet do vary in size.
